Wireless connectivity to remote departments of the university
The university setup is based on agricultural farms, which are scattered at a distance from one another and from the main university Buildings. The CNEP project has also considered these offices which are at the remote farms and also has provided them network/internet facility, so that the research and scientific work may not suffer even in these offices. We have three such departments as IBGE, Animal Husbandry, Strengthening of Teaching and Research Capabilities (STRS), an HEC funded Project.
These departments have been provided internet/network facility through wireless connectivity from the NOC. The wireless connectivity has been achieved via establishing wireless bridge between NOC and Institute of Biotechnology & Genetics Engineering (IBGE). Further the offices, Labs and IBGE library has been connected through wired media (UTP) internally.
