Research Projects

Completed two research projects as Principal Investigator (a and b below) and one as Co-Principal Investigator (c below)

1. Environment friendly weed management in vegetables, funded by HEC Islamabad, worth Rs. 2.217 millions.
2. Weed seed bank studies in wheat and maize growing areas of KP for sustainable weed management and soil fertility, funded by HEC Islamabad, worth Rs. 3.9417 millions.
3. Management of wild onion and other associated weeds for long term control policy in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, funded by HEC Islamabad, worth Rs. 1.50 millions. The PI was Dr. Imtiaz Khan, Weed Science, UAP.

Awards

1. Won bronze medal in the Faculty of Crop Protection Sciences in B.Sc. (Hons), Batch 1998-2002.
2. Topped the Department in B.Sc. (Hons), Batch 1998-2002.
3. Achieved 7th position in the top 10 winners quota for agriculture all over Pakistan in the contest on Sep 13, 2004 for the 200 PhD Merit Scholarship Scheme in Science and Technology launched by HEC.
4. Won travel grants from HEC Pakistan for participation in conferences at Sri Lanka, UAE, and China.
5. Won 6-months scholarship for PhD research at Ohio State University, USA under IRSIP Program of HEC during 2008.
6. Won 9-months Post-Doc Fellowship from HEC under PDFP Phase III Batch I at Ohio State University, USA (From June 2021 to Feb 2022).
