Professional Responsibilities

Full time Faculty member with responsibilities of Teaching and Research based on Entomological aspects.

Research Projects

1. Submitted research proposal to Higher Education Commission entitled “Management of invasive insect pest, Fall Armyworm through genetically modified microorganisms in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa” and is under review.
2. Submitted a project proposal to Pakistan Science Foundation in collaboration with National Science Foundation China entitled “Ecosystem conservation and Management of wild bees for sustainable agriculture in Northwest Pakistan”. The project is recently submitted and is under review.
3. Concept paper accepted in Pakistan Agriculture Research Council, Agriculture Linkages Program entitled “Molecular Characterization and Risk Factor Analysis of American Foulbrood Disease (AFD) in honeybees and its therapy through plant-based nanoparticles”. Full Length project with an estimated budget cost of Rs. 8.89 million PKR is submitted for final review.
4. Submitted concept paper entitled “Livelihood Improvement of The Beekeepers and Enhancement of Honeybee Cottage Industry in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa” to Endowment Fund, The University of Agriculture, Peshawar and is under review.
5. Submitted concept paper to Climate Change Fund (International Organization) under title “Wings of Change: Safeguarding Pollinators and Climate-Resilient Agriculture in Pakistan.
6. Submitted concept paper entitled “Harnessing Microbial symbionts to Enhance pollinator Health and crop Productivity in Pakistan” to NRPU, HEC Pakistan and is under review process.

Awards

1. Awarded 6 months scholarship for PhD research work at University of California, Davis, USA under HEC funded program, “International Research Support Initiative Program (IRSIP).
2. Awarded Indigenous scholarship under HEC Scheme "5000 Indigenous PhD Scholarship" for PhD in Entomology, from The University of Agriculture, Peshawar.
3. Awarded the responsibility of Teaching Assistant in HEC scheme “Support to Scientific Talent” in the Department of Entomology, The University of Agriculture, Peshawar for a period of one year.
4. Awarded the responsibility of Teaching Assistant in National Internship Program in the Department of Entomology, The University of Agriculture, Peshawar for a period of one year.
