Introduction
The University has established the Directorate of Financial Aid and Development (FAD), an initiative of the Higher Education Commission launched simultaneously in 11 public private universities representing both the field of Agriculture and Management sciences in collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development. Two offices of the directorate have been functioning and staffed since April 2010 namely the Students’ Financial Aid office and office of University Advancement.
The aim of establishing the directorate was to streamline financial aid mechanisms for the meritorious and financially deprived students of the society; promote transparency in financial assistance programs; and developing linkages with the community; industry, alumni, donor agencies and charitable organizations for raising funds for the Students and the University endowment fund; exploring internships and job opportunities for students and graduates.

i. Students Financial Aid Office (SFAO)
The Students Financial Aid Office (SFAO) has been established to provide financial assistance solutions to students in shape of fully paid need and merit based scholarships, partial scholarships and fee waivers, soft loans and paid internships. All assistance related to applications, application processing, need and merit determination, award through the Institutional Scholarships Award Committee (ISAC), disbursement of funds through cheques, liaison with donors on accounting matters. The office is currently managing over twenty students’ scholarships program. Over the past year 1800 scholarships worth more than 60 Million were distributed.
ii. University Advancement Office (UAO)
The University Advancement Office (UAO) carries on its efforts for the financial and physical development and growth of the University by establishing linkages with the industry, community, non-governmental organizations, government bodies, Alumni of the university and public sector research and development entities. It also facilitates the students and graduates in jobs and internships placements. The Officers are fully operational in writing proposals, developing project concepts, facilitating surveys, data analysis and report writing.
AUP Alumni Association
The University of Agriculture, Peshawar Alumni Association has been established to rejuvenate and to promote bonds between the University and its Alumni to solicit their support in the curriculum development, student guidance and counselling, jobs and internships placements and generating revenue for various activities of the Agricultural University Peshawar. Alumni Can be registered I in the Alumni Association through portal and submission of hard form. The registration fee is Rs.1000/- which can be deposited in Alumni Association Account No.0000033310 under title Agric. University Alumni Association in NBP Campus Branch 0388.
