Admission Notice
Fall Semester 2024
M.Sc (H), MS, M.Phil. MBA and PhD Degree Programs
- Online University Admission Test (UAT) application forms are available on University admission portal from http://portal.aup.edu.pk/ from 08-07-2024.
- Last date for submission of hard copy of Admission Test forms to the DASAR office on or before 19.07.2024.
- University Admission Test will be held on 28.07.2024.
- Online admission forms will be available on University admission portal http://portal.aup.edu.pk/ from 05.08.2024.
- The admission forms along with required attested documents shall be submitted to the concerned Departments/Institutes by 13.08.2024.

UNIVERSITY ADMISSION TEST:
GAT (General) will be conducted for admission in all Master Degree Programs and GAT (subject) for all PhD Degree Programs.
General Eligibility
- PhD: Master Degree (18 years of education) in the respective field of studies with 1st division with 60% marks or more under annual system or CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of 3.00/4.00 under semester system (with at least 27 credit hours of course work).
- M. Sc. (H), MS, MBA, M. Phil: Four years Bachelor degree (after intermediate) with at least 56% marks (under annual system) or CGPA of 2.50/4.00 (under semester system) with at least 130 credit hours from HEC recognized institution in the respective field of studies.
Required Test Score:
- 50% score for M.Sc. (H), M.Phil, MBA and MS degree programs
- 60% score for all PhD degree programs
Procedure for Apply:
- Candidates shall apply online for admission test on University website (www.aup.edu.pk) or direct link http://portal.aup.edu.pk/ separately for each discipline.
- Copy of Admission test form along with receipt of Rs.1500/- (Non-Refundable) to be deposited in AC# 14877902286403 Habib Bank Ltd Branch, University of Agriculture Peshawar, shall be submitted to the DASAR Office on or before 19.07.2024.
- Candidate who secures the qualifying test score shall deposit admission processing fee of Rs.1500/-( Non-Refundable) in the above account and submit the form along with required documents and bank receipt to concerned Department/ Institute on or before 13.08.2024.
- Candidates applying for more than one discipline, must fill and submit separate form along with receipt of Rs.600/- (Non-Refundable) for each additional discipline.
- All those candidates whose results are awaited, can also apply for admission test only, however, provisional certificate/degree must be submitted for admission on or before the interview date.
- Details about the admission schedule are available on the University website.
- Only those candidates who have submitted the University Admission Test Form to the DASAR office within the due date will be allowed in the entry test. No forms will be entertained after the due date.
Specific Eligibility
| PhD | Applicants must possess M. Sc. (Hons) Agri. in the respective field of study. (Deficiency courses of undergraduate level will be given where necessary) except Extension Education & Communication and Rural Development. Extension Education & Communication: Applicants with M. Sc. (Hons) degree in any field of Agriculture (only) can apply. (Deficiency courses of undergraduate level will be given where necessary) Rural Development: Applicants with M. Sc. (Hons) degree in any field of Agriculture (only) can apply. (Deficiency courses of undergraduate level will be given where necessary) Biotechnology & Genetics Engineering: M.Phil Biotechnology. Microbiology: M.Phil Microbiology or relevant field. Management Sciences: Master degree (18 years of education) in Management Sciences with specialization in respective field of studies. Computer Science: Master degree (18 years of education) in Computer Science with specialization in respective field of studies. Biochemistry: MS/M.Sc.(Hons)/M.Phil or equivalent in Biochemistry, Agricultural Chemistry & Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology and relevant fields. Water Resources Management: Master's degree (18 years of education) In Water Management, Water Resources Management, Agriculture Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering or any other related discipline. |
| M.Phil | Biotechnology & Genetics Engineering: B.Sc. (Hons) Agri./Animal Husbandry, Bachelor of Biotechnology, M.Sc. Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Forestry, DVM, MBBS/BDS. (Deficiency courses of undergraduate level will be given where necessary) Animal Biotechnology: Sixteen year of education in the relevant discipline from HEC recognized institution in the field. Qualified graduates from Biotechnology, DVM, Zoology, Animal Husbandry, Biological Sciences and relevant bachelor studies (Deficiency courses to be completed if needed). Genomics & Bioinformatics: Sixteen year of education in the relevant discipline (Bioinformatics/Biological Sciences/Computer Science/Biotechnology or equivalent in relevant disciplines from HEC reognized institution (Deficiency courses to be completed if needed) Theriogenology and Pathology: B.Sc. (Hons) Animal Husbandry, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or MBBS Sociology/Economics: Four years Bachelor or MA/M.Sc degree from HEC recognized University/Institute in the respective field of study. (Deficiency courses of undergraduate level will be given where necessary) Islamiyat: MA Islamiyat or equivalent degree from HEC recognised Universities/Institutes Microbiology: B.Sc.(Hons) in Microbiology or relevant field with minimum 45% marks. Biochemistry: BS (04 years) or Master's degree (16 years of education) in Biochemistry, Agricultural Chemistry & Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology and Biotechnology, M.Sc. Chemistry, Molecular Biology, MBBS/BDS, DVM and relevant fields. Parasitology: DVM, Biology, Zoology, Fisheries and MBBS Pharmacology & Toxicology: DVM, Zoology, Microbiology, Pharma D or MBBS. Clinical Veterinary Medicine & Surgery: DVM, B.Sc. (Hons) in any science subject. |
| MS | Agribusiness Management: BBA (Hons), BS Degree in Agricultural Sciences & BS in Agribusiness or equivalent. (16 years Education). Management Science: BBA (Hons)/B.Com (Hons), MBA & M.Com, (16 years Education). Computer Science: BS (CS), MCS, M. Sc. (CS) (16 years Education). Information Technology: BS (IT/CS/SE), M. Sc. (CS) & M.Sc (IT) (16 years Education). Data Science: 04 years bachelor's degree (after intermediate)/ 16 years education in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Software Engineering, Computer Engineering. Water Resources Management: B.Sc(Hons)/ B.Sc/BE in Water Management, Water Resources Management, Agriculture (Soil & Environmental Sciences, Agronomy, Horticulture), Agriculture Engineering, Environmental Engineering or any other related discipline with 16 years education. |
