1. Research Fellow/Associate, 2. Office Accountant, 3. One Daily paid laborer (DPL) on Need Basis.

Applications with attested copies of relevant documents are invited for the following positions under the project titled "Incidence, detection, identification and population dynamics of major parasitic nematodes of wheat, corn and rice from selected localities of Pakistan" sponsored by Syngenta, Pakistan. All positions are initially advertised for a period of one year and are likely to be continued until the completion of the project (Maximum two years).

1. Research Fellow/Associate (1 post):
Research Associate under a project sponsored by Syngenta, Pakistan-Limited project, is required on per month fixed salary. Candidates for position of Research Associate should have Ist class master degree or equivalent in Agriculture with specialization in Plant Pathology with no third division or Grade D in their entire academic careers. Candidates with experience in Plant Nematology, especially having experience in nematode extraction, identification, population dynamics, bioassays, microscopy, field surveys and knowledge of molecular techniques for nematodes (species and genera) identification and characterization, will be given preference.

2. Office Accountant (part time):
One part time position of office accountant is advertised on fixed salary per month for one year and extendable next year. Candidate should have prior office experience, preferably in accounting, office administration and book keeping. Candidate from existing setup will provide NOC letter from, the office of Registrar.

3. One Daily paid laborer (DPL) on Need Basis:
One position of DPL (1 post) is advertised on fixed salary per month for one year or extendable (next year). The responsibilities include various tasks such as soil and roots samples processing in lab, raising nurseries (wheat, corn or rice) in pots or controlled conditions, planting/sowing, harvesting, spray application in relevant seedlings in screen house and treating the plants with pesticides/nematicides, maintenance of screen house including assistance in field surveys.

Last date for the receipt of application is Dec 08, 2023. Short listed candidates will be called for interview to be held on Dec 12, 2023 at 10:00 a.m in the office of the undersigned.

  2. All academic credentials of the selected candidates shall be open to scrutiny/verification.
  3. No applications will be entertained after the deadline.
  4. No TA/DA will be paid for interview.
  5. The University has the right to terminate the contract at any time.
  6. Hiring of above positions are purely for above mentioned project and will be governed the terms and conditions of the said project.
