About Chairman:
Prof. Dr. Noor Ul Amin
Highly motivated and experienced horticulturist and landscape architect, wide ranging management, teaching and research experience, including large teams and projects, ability to gain and implement knowledge rapidly, demonstrated with expertise in a wide range of crops particularly Floriculture, excellent communications skills ranging from day to day dealings with growers to academia, government & non governmental agencies and conference presentations, reputation for innovation and its implementation.

Prof. Amin did B.Sc (Hons) and MSc (Hons) Horticulture, from The Agricultural University, Peshawar, Pakistan. He worked on the Performance of exotic rose cultivars under Peshawar conditions while perusing MSc (Hons). At Masterís level, Prof. Amin developed an obsession towards studying, investigating and exploring in the field of Floriculture and Landscape. This mania led him to proceed to the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom where he accomplished a PhD qualification in landscape management (1992-96). Later, in 2005-06, he carried out Post Doctoral Research in the same Department and University. He joined this University back in 1985 as lecturer and became a professor in 2003. The Syndicate of Agricultural University appointed him as Chairman in January, 2015 for a period of three years. Beside, teaching activities ranging from B.Sc (Hons) to PhD levels, Prof. Amin has supervised 52 M.Sc (Hons) & 2 PhD students and completed two independent projects. He has been the visiting Professor in University of Jordon and University of Sheffield UK. His research findings have been published in various national and foreign journals and have about 52 publications to his credit.

In addition to teaching and research in the University, he remained actively involved on a number of important management positions within University and without. Prior to joining the University, he worked as Assistant Director Horticulture for Peshawar Development Authority, Peshawar, Pakistan.
He has also been working with local authorities, the private sector and academe; and remained consultant with many organizations including IUCN, Agribusiness & Diversification project, MINFA, Governorís House KP, Chief Minister KP, Sevdam International Peshawar, The Townscape Peshawar and number of Army establishments and private organizations Prof. Amin has presented the university at various national and international forums. He has been instrumental in promoting research especially in field of Floriculture and landscape and his services are highly appreciated by various National and international agencies.

Nominated for the Chancellorís Medal by the University of Sheffield, England, United Kingdom during 1996. Nominated for The King's Faisal Prize, Saudi Arabia by the Agricultural University, Peshawar, Pakistan for 2003-2004.
